About Doll Clothes Closet
Since I collect American Girl dolls and feel like I know what kinds of clothes that collectors and kids like, I thought it would be a good idea to have this website dedicated to selling quality, readymade clothing that fits American Girl dolls and Bitty Baby-Bitty Twins dolls.
The thing is, I love dolls and selling things for them. While buying shoes and other small accessories for my website for handmade American Girl clothes, I discovered that these companies also had readymade outfits and all kinds of fun clothing items.
I am a seamstress by trade but I realize that I cannot possibly make everything there is to make for these dolls. My website for handmade Barbie clothes also keeps me very busy. So I came up with the idea of selling a few readymade items on my handmade site but even though I thought readymade could mix well with handmade, it was not the best move.
That's when I thought maybe I should have a separate website dedicated just to the readymade 18 inch doll clothing business. I thought it would be fun to put together actual outfits. That way in case you already own everything made by that awesome doll company from Wisconsin, you can come shop with me.
I hope you'll stick with me as this site grows and changes. By no means will I ever stop sewing doll clothes. There are markets for everything out there and if it concerns dolls, I just want to be a part of it!
