Policies and Terms of Business
This is page of my site's policies and terms that you may be asked to agree to during the checkout process. It is your responsibility to read and be familiar with them. These are the terms to which you are agreeing when you check that box in the shopping cart.
Charge cards and charges
If for some reason your card is rejected by my processor, it is subject to a $2 fee for me having to contact you and obtain either the correct card number or an alternate card to use.
If a card is rejected, I always either contact the customer by email or phone. If I do not hear back within 48 hours, the order will be cancelled.
Debit card payments
Payments made by debit cards are welcome. However I have no way of knowing that your card is a debit card, not even after I have run it. Most times I will be running the charges the same day I get the order or the very next. But please make sure you have enough funding in your checking account before using your debit card. If the funds are not there, the system will not kick it out but I will get a rejection which costs me fees. When you use your debit card, pretend you are writing a check and deduct it from your checkbook right away. That way if for some reason I am delayed in running the charge, the funds will still be there. These rejections are also subject to the $2 fee, which is much less than a bad check fee.
Money Order payments
Please send your payment in a timely manner. If I have not received payment for an order marked money order within 10 business days, I will consider the order cancelled. I prefer Postal Money orders if possible.
Returns
Buyer's remorse, or changing your mind returns are not accepted. If an item does not meet your expectations and you do have a valid reason for it, please contact me within 5 days of receipt of the item (and I do know when items are received because I track them) for a RMA number. Then please package the item(s) back up just the way it came. (Return postage and original shipping/handling is not refunded.) As long as it is in the same condition that I sent it out in (meaning new) your return will be valid. After I receive and inspect the item to make sure it meets my return standards, I will issue your refund as a credit to your card, a check, or a PayPal refund. Refund will be in the amount of the purchase price of the item only.
Valid Billing and Shipping Addresses
Please be sure that the address(es) you provide are valid. Your billing address needs to be the exact address at which you receive your credit card bill. The name given for the billing address should be exactly the way it shows on your card. Please make sure you remember the middle initial if it is on your card.
The shipping address (if different from the billing address) should be accurate. I am happy to ship gifts to people for you and will even write a note on the back of my business card that the order is from you.
Unclaimed Packages
This has only happened to me once but it bears mentioning. If you have a PO box, you will have to go to the post office to get your package. Some subdivisions have small mailboxes and carriers will not leave boxes unattended on a porch or next to the box if they know the customer is at work. I always know when packages are picked up or when a delivery notice is left. I'm sure if you're a frequent visitor to the Post Office, you do realize that they will only hold packages for a short amount of time before they send them back to me. Please pick your package up as soon as you can.
In the event that a package is returned to me by the Post Office for being there too long, I will contact you. You will be responsible for another shipping/handling amount and your package will be re-mailed. If it returns to me a second time, it is mine. No refund of any kind will be issued.
